Samual Adams East-West Kolsch

6/28 #2 - Last beer in the Sam Adams variety pack I bought at Sam's Club. Taste is sweet floral with a little bready malt. Nothing special, but perfectly drinkable.

Samual Adams East-West Kolsch - Boston Beer Company - Boston, Mass

Kelpie Seaweed Ale

I have to admit that I was a little worried about trying this beer. One doesn't normally associate Seaweed with something that tastes good, but I was pleasantly surprised. Nose is roasted malt, chocolate, and a little hint of salt. Flavor is much the same. Kind of like a chocolate stout with a much lighter mouth feel.

Kelpie Seaweed Ale - Kelpie Bros Brewing Co. - Scotland

Terrapin Indiana Krunkles German Style Wheat IPA

I'm not sure, as i would bet most Germans are, what a German style wheat IPA is exactly. This beer is the bastard child of an American IPA and a German Hefeweizen. It is a perfectly drinkable beer with both the IPA bitterness and the banana and clove notes associated with a traditional hefe. Not quite sure how to rate it other than to say it tastes pretty good and weird at the same time.

Terrapin Indiana Krunkles German Style Wheat IPA - Terrapin Brewing Company - Athens, GA
